Description

This project consists of roadside brushing, constructing, and reconstructing grade dips

and rolling dips, reconditioning ditches, shoulders, and roadways, and cleaning cattle

guards on National Forest System Roads (NFSR) 716 – Old Mesa, 717 – Mesa Creek,

and 713.4G – Crystal Creek Spur.



Work activities and roads are specified in the Plans and Drawings, Forest Service

Supplemental Specifications (FSSS) and Schedule of Items.



General Scope of Services and Responsibilities:



A. Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, engineering, quality control,

labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to perform a broad range of

construction and maintenance work on Government infrastructure.



B. The Contractor is professionally responsible for the services performed under this

contract. The Contractor shall be responsive to Government-furnished criteria,

information, guidance, and review comments. All services shall be in full compliance

with Federal, State, and local requirements.



The Government intends to make a single contract award as outlined in the:

• Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway

Projects (FP-14 U.S. Customary Units)

• Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS),

• Schedule of Items and,

• Drawings.



Work shall include, but is not limited to; clearing and grubbing, excavation and

embankment, road reconditioning, and cleaning and repairing drainage structures as

specified in the Plans and Drawings, Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS)



and Schedule of Items.



Successful offeror MUST be capable of performing all work described and considered

by this solicitation.



1. Clearing and Grubbing: Work consists of roadside clearing as specified in the

specifications and drawings.



2. Excavation and Embankment: Work consists of excavating material and constructing

embankments for the construction and reconstruction of armored grade dips and rolling

dips.



3. Road Reconditioning: Work consists of reconditioning road ditches, shoulders, and

roadway. This work also includes cleaning culvert inlets, outlets, and cattle guards.
