SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price
Purchase Order with Philips North America, LLC., a large business. This procurement will provide a replacement cover for the Philips PET/CT Vereos model 6511439, located at the VA Medical Center in Portland, OR. Philips North America, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the Philips PET/CT Vereos model 6511439 and holds the proprietary license. Philips mandates that only Philips certified, trained technicians provide repair and maintenance on the system. Additionally, extensive market research was conducted including the issuance of Sources Sought Notice 36C26024Q0358 on 2/28/2024. No other vendors responded to the notice. This service will be completed within forty-five (45) days after receipt of order. The anticipated award date is 4/22/2024.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811210. The size standard for NAICS 811210 is $34.0 Million. This procurement will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source and 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1).
This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government s intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
