Description

This is a Request For Information (RFI)/Sources Sought (SS) notice and does NOT constitute a request for proposal (RFP), request for quote (RFQ), or invitation for bid (IFB). No award will be made from responses to this RFI/SS notice. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in SAM.gov. It is the potential offeror’s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.



This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information received. Submission of any information in response to this notice is strictly voluntary. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of capabilities and submissions will not be returned. Responses should not contain any information considered proprietary in nature. If proprietary information is included, it should be clearly marked. NASA will protect such data from public disclosure to the extent permitted under the Freedom of Information Act and other laws and regulations. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is hereby soliciting information about potential sources capable of providing Space Launch System (SLS) Tail Service Mast Umbilical (TSMU) Cryogenic Flexible Hoses for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) with delivery to KSC in compliance with the attached Government specifications and drawings.



The NAICS Code for this requirement is 332999 - All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing with a size standard of 750 employees.



Requirements contemplated under this RFI include—



Space Launch System (SLS) Tail Service Mast Umbilical (TSMU) Cryogenic Flexible Hoses for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) with delivery to KSC in compliance with the attached Government specifications and drawings.



NASA KSC is seeking capabilities from all interested parties, including small, small disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), women-owned (WOSB), veteran-owned (VOSB), service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVOSB), and Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business concerns, as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities and minority institutions for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition or small business subcontracting goals for this effort. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, or HUBZone small business set-aside based on responses hereto.



Prospective offerors having the capabilities necessary to provide Cryogenic Flexible Hoses as described are requested to electronically submit a capability statement of ten (10) pages or less using 12-point Times New Roman font. A page is defined as one side of a sheet, 8.5” x 11”, with at least one-inch margins on all sides.



Responses must include the following:




  1. Company name, address, and website

  2. Point of contact, including title, phone number and e-mail address

  3. CAGE code and DUNS number

  4. Size of business and socioeconomic status (e.g., SDB, WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone) if applicable

  5. Total annual revenue by year for the past 3 years and number of employees

  6. Ownership; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime), if known and applicable

  7. Company’s capabilities and experience providing supplies and/or services as described above. For businesses that cannot perform the entire scope, identify the types of services that your company could perform.
