Other Comments:

Please note: You must attend the mandatory meeting to bid on this project.

Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is seeking proposals from contractors to provide all services necessary to restore a montane wetland on the Prescott II property that was ditched historically, leading to draining and drying of hydric soils and long-term impacts to wetland vegetation. The selected contractor will complete the project, following the final plan design and associated specifications, to restore the historic hydrology to the site with minimal impacts to the surrounding vegetation and landscape. All construction must be supervised by a qualified contractor with experience with wetland restoration projects. It is anticipated that construction will occur in September – October of 2024, when soils are at their driest. The Prescott II property is an undeveloped parcel on County Road 105J (Bunce School Road) and USFS Road 105, accessible from either Peaceful Valley Campground or from State Highway 72 near Allenspark (Location Maps and Aerial Imagery, Attachment A). The access is on an unimproved jeep road, is very rough, and requires high clearance vehicles. Boulder County has made some improvements in the previous year, though the road may require some additional, limited improvements to allow access for necessary equipment and vehicles. Access to the site includes crossing a weight limited bridge on County Road 92 into the Peaceful Valley Campground. The posted limit is 7 Tons for a 3-axle single unit vehicle, 11 Tons for 5-axle semi tractor and trailer, and 12 Tons for a 6-axle combination of a single-unit truck with trailer. No vehicles exceeding the allowable weight limit are allowed during construction.

Proposals must be submitted electronically on or before the Close Date at https://bouldercounty.bonfirehub.com/ . Submissions will not be accepted by email, fax or hand-delivery; unless otherwise noted.

Documents should not be embedded within uploaded files, as the embedded files will not be accessible or evaluated.
