Separate sealed bids for construction of the above referenced project will be received by the Owner at their office, on May 07, 2024, at 2:00 pm, local time at North Charleston Procurement Department, 2500 City Hall Lane, 3rd Floor, Rhett Conference Room, North Charleston, SC 29406 then at said office to be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work includes sidewalk improvements within City Council District 8 in the City of North Charleston. Construction of Package 8B includes the following:
· 535 LF of new sidewalk and 38 LF of new storm drainage located on Maxwell Street (S-367)
· 1950 LF of new sidewalk and 472 LF of new storm drainage located on Braddock Avenue (S-689)
· 1900 LF of new sidewalk and 47 LF of new storm drainage located on North Boulevard (S-288)
· 1625 LF of new sidewalk located on Durant Avenue
· 1600 LF of new sidewalk located on South Boulevard (S-360)
Before a bid is considered for award, the bidder may be required to submit a statement of qualifications in detail as for his previous experience in performing similar or comparable work, and of his business and technical organization and financial resources and availability for performing the contemplated work.
Bidders must make positive efforts to use small, minority, and women-owned businesses.
