This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
Removal of existing pavement and curb markings by sand blasting. Installation of new angled parking pavement and curb markings. Including ADA markings.
The Scope of Work is further described in the attached drawings and specification titled “Parking and Traffic Improvements North Harbor Drive”.
The contractor shall submit a Cost Proposal using the attached Bid Schedule that includes painted traffic marking quantities.
The Contractor must submit a construction work plan that includes the following Criteria:

Project schedule/timeline.

General construction work plan per drawings and specifications.

How will contractors phase the project while keeping enough parking spaces available to the public during construction, how will contractors deal with vehicles blocking construction areas, and include a safety traffic plan.

How will contractors adapt to the poor weather conditions and still meet the June 15, 2024, substantial completion date.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required.
The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
