El objeto del presente contrato es la gestion del servicio de teleasistencia, con arreglo a lo establecido en el articulo 45, apartado e) de la Ley 11/2003, de 27 de marzo, de Servicios Sociales de la Comunidad de Madrid, y demas normativa vigente, en especial la Ley 39/2006, de diciembre, de Promocion de la Autonomia Personal y Atencion a las Personas en situacion de Dependencia.
El servicio tiene como objetivo apoyar la permanencia de personas que se hallen en situacion de riesgo por razones de edad, discapacidad, enfermedad o aislamiento social en su domicilio, proporcionado una serie de atenciones personalizadas que pueden mejorar sus condiciones de seguridad y compania en la vida cotidiana, potenciar la independencia, y facilitar la integracion de la persona en su entorno habitual de convivencia, asi como detectar, prevenir y, en su caso, intervenir en posibles situaciones de riesgo. Siendo destinatarios del servicio personas en situacion de dependencia.
El servicio de teleasistencia se presta fundamentalmente a traves de la linea telefonica, y con un equipamiento de telecomunicaciones e informatico especifico, ubicado en un centro de atencion y en el domicilio de los usuarios.
