Description
The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate the same or similar experience to this project. This is not a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification, or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to pre-solicitation announcement, or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (Martin Luther King Jr National Historical Park (MALU) ¿ Remove the old lift and Install new Vertical Platform Lift) and identify your socio-economic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, or Small Business).

Your firm¿s capability information MUST be 6 pages or less and be SPECIFIC to the removal of the old lift and Installation of a new Vertical Platform Lift. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels.

Your response is due no later than 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on November 30, 2022.

The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.¿see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. All firms should be registered and certified in www.sam.gov.

Project Description (Scope)
The primary objective of the project is for the removal of the existing vertical platform lift on the exterior of the project and installation of a new vertical lift with enclosure and a protective canopy. There are modifications to the interior of the project to improve Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) access and replace the concrete paving immediately surrounding the lift at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park Atlanta, Georgia per the specification, drawings, and other supporting documents.

Firms interested in the project should possess the following specialized skills and experience and address these specialized skills and experience in their responses to this Notice.
1) Experience performing the following work:
a. Electrical Contracting
b. Construction of similar size and scope
c. Electrical equipment and code compliance
d. Operation and maintenance procedures and training
e. Waste-removal operations
f. Experience working with historic properties

2) Relevance of Project Experience to this Project:
a. Historic and Natural resource protection
b. Work for National Park Service or projects with similar requirements
c. Culturally Sensitive projects
d. Knowledge of Secretary of the Interior¿s Standards for the Treatment of Historic         Properties.

3) Furnishing Equipment for this project

a.        Contractor for equipment should be local and or have service available 24 hours
b.        Equipment controls shall not be proprietary in order to facilitate service and parts.
(Demonstrate the ability to use non-proprietary means to adjust, trouble shoot and         perform Code required Safety tests as outlined)

Bonding Capability
Interested firms MUST provide a letter from their bonding company to confirm their bonding capacity.
