Conferences permit individuals and organizations to engage in a variety of activities that are critical to the development and implementation of NIST programs and play an important role in fulfilling NIST's mission.
Conferences are an effective way to bring together various groups of people to share information, educate the scientific community and the public, work with state and local government partners, and/or learn from non-governmental stakeholders.
Conference planning at NIST has been centralized within the Conference Program, part of the NIST/Public & Business Affairs Office. The Program supports NIST Laboratories and Major Programs at NIST sites in Gaithersburg, MD, Boulder, CO, and Charleston, SC, by providing professional conference planning and conference-related support services in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with all Government rules and regulations.
The objective of this procurement is to establish one or more indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide conference support services for NIST.
The Contractor shall perform specific work, in accordance with task orders issued. Task orders shall identify the specific work required and may combine cost and no cost line items. Work shall be directly related to one or more of the specific requirements identified in the statement of work. Task orders shall be issued on a firm fixed price basis. Fair opportunity shall be utilized when awarding task orders.
The NAICS code for this requirement is 541611 with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. Simplified acquisition procedures shall be utilized under the authority of FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business concerns. Award of multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts is anticipated.
The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number
Potential quoters shall be responsible for obtaining this solicitation and related amendments, if any, from www.fbo.gov after the solicitation has been posted. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of each potential quoter to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendments or other information related to the solicitation.

NIST anticipates posting the solicitation on September 18, 2017.
