Information is requested on the availability of ultra-violet (UV) camera lenses. 4 single field of view lenses are needed (approximately 10mm, 50mm, 102.4mm, 256mm). Theses lenses will be integrated with a Nikon F-mount.

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, at this time, the Navy is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

The Patuxent River Infrared Measurement team (PRISM) performs radiometric measurements of aerial targets for the Navy and other customers. PRISM requires lenses for cameras and spectrometers that are spectrally corrected in the entire 300-1100nm region to enable accurate measurement of targets across available instrument bands. Lens focal lengths are chosen to optimize the field of view of both an telescopic optical probe for a spectroradiometer and a c-mount optical camera. F to C mount adapters will be used to interface the lenses with the C-Mount cameras because the spectrometer requires an f-mount lens.
