Fabrication and Installation of one T56 Turboprop Engine Enclosure at Bradley Air national Guard Base and one at Great Falls ANG Base. Enclosures will work in conjunction with an A/F37T-10 Noise Suppressor (Hush house) and A/M37T-21D Test Stand to test the T56 Engine.
Associated Items:
NSN: 4620-01-590-2905RN, P/N 940-S-001

The T56 Enclosure is used exclusively to test the T56 engine found on the C-130 airframe. The T56 is a turboprop engine, but United States Air Force (USAF) Noise Suppressors cannot test turboprop engines without also using an enclosure due to airflow requirements imposed by the propeller during testing. Testing a T6 engine inside a Noise Suppressor without an enclosure would generate invalid test results. The T56 Enclosure was designed for use inside an A/F37T-10 Noise Suppressor in conjunction with the A/M37T-21D Test Stand. The T56 engine is demounted (removed from the airframe) before testing.

This effort includes the fabrication and installation of two T56 enclosures, one at Bradley ANG and one at Great Falls ANG. The enclosures shall be built to the specifications outlined in the T56 drawing and data package. The enclosures shall enable the A/F37T-10 Noise Suppressor and A/M37T-21D Test Stand to test demounted (off-airframe) T56 turbo prop engines.

Period of Performance: One-Year

Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation.
