This is a sources sought synopsis announcement; a market survey for information only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources; please do not request a copy of a solicitation, as one does not exist at this time.

The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive, and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $19.0M, and Product or Service Code, (PSC) of N059 – Installation of Equipment—Electrical and Electronic Equipment Components. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide a capabilities statement, confirming your availability to provide the described service/supplies.

The 50th Contracting Squadron at Schriever SFB seeks potential sources capable of installing communications cabling. The new Delta 9 SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) will require bulk fiber optic cabling installed from existing communications room in building 300 room 307G to room 351. To accomplish this the contractor will install all Government Furnished materials and purchase any supplemental materials required for any pathways and fully functional connectivity for all four networks.

The government intends on soliciting this requirement as a Statement of Objective (SOO).

If you have the capability and are interested in this acquisition, submit a detailed capability statement which, at a minimum, identifies:

1. Relevant past performance with evidence of similar work completed in the past three years, to include dollar value.


2. Point of contact including name, phone number, physical address, and e-mail.


3. Size status and/or SBA certification.


4. Positive statement of interest to submit a SOO once the solicitation is posted.


5. Estimate of project lead time.


6. Industry is encouraged to provide feedback, comments, or questions on the draft acquisition requirements.
