Bonners Ferry Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle NF, Middle Fork Boulder Creek Culvert. This project was previously solicited under 12034318R0013, issued May 4, 2018 and cancelled. This project consists of removal and disposal of an existing 10ft cmp. Installation of a 22ft span, 8ft 11in rise structural plate arch with concrete footings. This work will consist of constructing a stream channel through the pipe and installing grade control structures within the culvert and potentially outside the culvert near the inlet and outlet. Additionally a segment of road shall be reconstructed and shaped to provide adequate approaches over the new structure together with surface aggregate placed on the reconstructed segment of road. This work will also include placing rip rap material at the inlet and outlet. Contractor is required to maintain soil erosion and sediment control throughout the life of this project as well as seed and mulch all disturbed areas prior to completion. Project can be accessed from Bonners Ferry by taking the cow creek road east from the center of town approx. 3 miles to the jct with the crossport road turn left onto the crossport road and continue northwest approx. 6.5 miles to the Katka creek road FSR 314 turn left onto the 314 road and follow it approx 9.25 miles to the jct with FSR 408. Turn right onto the 408 road and follow it approx 3.75 miles to the jct with FSR 628. Turn left onto the 628 and follow it appox. .5 miles to the project location. Be advised this project may also be accessed by heading south from Bonners Ferry on HWY 95 approx. 10 miles to the 20 mile road FSR 408. Take a left off of the HWY on to FSR 408 and continue on FSR 408 approx. 15.25 miles to the Jct of FSR 628. Turn right onto the 628 and follow it appox. .5 miles to the project location. It is recommended that all interested parties drive both accesses to determine ease of access for construction equipment and supplies. Price Range $100,000 - $250,000. Est start date July 15, 2019 and complete by October 25, 2019. Solicitation to be issued on or around January 22, 2019.
