Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement to fill an urgent need to provide maintenance and Emergency response support for the National Marine Fisheries Service personnel assigned to the Little Port Walter field research station, and allow for options for additional support in the future as needed.





SCOPE OF WORK





Provide emergency response, maintenance, and repair assistance for Auke Bay Laboratory within one day of Award (anticipated day after solicitation closes). The primary duty station will be Little Port Walter (LPW) Field Station, Alaska. The contractor will work up to 40 hours per week (estimated) for an approximate total of 500 hours. When not needed at LPW, services may also be utilized in Juneau, Alaska as the need arises. This contractor will primarily assist the ABL Facility Maintenance Mechanics with efforts that focus on the following trades:






  • Plumbing (copper, brass, hdpe, and pvc)

  • Electrical (AC systems to 480V and DC systems)

  • Carpentry

  • Metal Fabrication (steel and aluminum)

  • Masonry

  • Heavy Equipment Operation

  • Boat Operations





Key personal must be identified in solicitation and must possess the technical skills and capabilities.

All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in within 24 hours of closing date and time.
