The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid -Atlantic, Public Works Department Maine, is seeking eligible business firms capable of performing a construction contract to provide structural repairs to deteriorated electrical manholes and duct banks across the shipyard identified as high risk.
This will be a total small business set aside and the small business office concurs with the set aside determination.
The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 09/15/2017. The procurement method is Sealed Bidding in accordance with FAR Part 14. A proposal due date of approximately 10/15/2017 is anticipated for the subject project, with a public bid opening held immediately after bid closing.
Project will complete structural repairs to existing mechanical manholes, trenches, and tunnels at various locations across the shipyard both inside and outside the CIA in accordance with Statement of Work. This project addresses mechanical systems distribution infrastructure that is in disrepair. Manholes, trenches, and tunnels provide access to critical components of mechanical distribution systems and run below streets and walkways. The project includes base pricing and five additional options.
Period of Performance/Contract Completion Date: The anticipated contract completion date for this construction project is 30 September 2018.
Contract Magnitude: The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204. The Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237110.
