NASA/LaRC has a requirement for a compact, high output current DC-DC switching converter. The item shall meet the following minimum specifications:
? 6 V Input
? Adjustable output voltage range between 5 V and 0.8 V.
? 6 A maximum current output
? Current sharing capability with a second device to increase output current
? Overcurrent, overload, overvoltage, and thermal protection
? Enable and soft start inputs
? Power good output
? IC must have a thermal pad for heat dissipation
? Small footprint CFP Package
? Must be the prototype of a spaceflight certified part
o The spaceflight equivalent must be processed by a manufacturer certified to produce the flight component using a QML Class V manufacturing flow.
o The prototype must have the same pinout, package, and electrical characteristics of the spaceflight equivalent.
o The spaceflight equivalent must operate over the military temperature range (-55 C to +125C).
o The spaceflight equivalent must have documented test results indicating acceptable performance after a total ionizing dose of at least 100 KRads.
