The City of Bristol is seeking proposals for provision of a Fire Pumper vehicle, Class A type capable of discharging 1500gpm (midship mounted), with not less than 450hp diesel engine, for operation within the Bristol Fire Department fleet.

Proposal submissions will be accepted by the Purchasing Department until October 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm; submissions received after this date and time will not be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposal(s) that in its judgment is in its best interest. Each submission shall contain one printed original and five (5) copies, as well as a digital copy (via USB), and shall be in a sealed envelope or package clearly identified as "RFP 2018-033 Fire Pumper Vehicle" delivered to the address noted above, accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol.
The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.
