19052PW – SOUTH WILMINGTON WETLANDS PARK PROJECT
The project scope is the environmental remediation and restoration of approximately 22 acres of
wetlands to reduce flooding in South Wilmington. Work under this Contract generally includes,
excavation and grading, installation of storm drainage piping, manholes, inlets, headwall and weir
structure, construction of tide control structure at existing outfall, construction of a timber boardwalk
and stone dust trail traversing the wetlands, gabion walls, and installation of wetland and landscaping
This project is funded by the Delaware Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund: therefore, bidders and
the successful contractor must comply with the related Program Requirements. Bidders must follow the “Good
Faith Efforts” in providing opportunities to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in preparation of their
bids and procurement of construction, supplies, and services. This project is subject to State of Delaware
Prevailing Wage Rates regulations and the Davis Bacon Wage Rates, whichever is higher.
Bidders must also comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 which prohibits discrimination in
employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national orgin.

St., Wilmington, DE 19801. (enter through back gate)
Bid opening: Tuesday, February19, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the Finance Department Conference Room, 5th
Floor, Louis L. Redding City/County Building, 800 French Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
