Seminole County Fleet Management Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of approximately 2000 assets that could potentially generate hazarded waste.
Seminole County is requesting written proposals from qualified firms to assist the COUNTY for hazardous waste management services. The successful Contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and logistical support services to insure the proper identification, containment, collection, handling, consolidation, packaging, transportation, treatment, storage, recycling and disposal of used oil, used oil filters, used antifreeze, sludge, fluids, pads, oil absorbents and other hazardous waste generated by the County as specified in the RFP documents. All hazardous waste management activities will be conducted in accordance with hazardous waste operations, transportation, and disposal regulations.
The estimated number of gallons of used oil collected from Seminole County Fleet Maintenance Division during the period of March 2016 through March 2017 was estimated at 7,768 gallons of oil and 593 gallons of coolant. The Countys requirements in this contract are estimated and there is no commitment by the County to guarantee any specified amount. Also, if the estimated quantities are not achieved, this shall not be the basis for an equitable adjustment.
