Sealed proposals will be received by the Division of Public Works, State of Idaho, at 502 N. 4th St., PO
Box 83720, Boise, Idaho 83720-0072 until 2:00 pm local time, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 for DPW
Project 17201 Gym Floor Replacement, Student Recreation Center, Boise State University, Boise,
A description of the work of this project can be summarized to include the replacement of the entire
gymnasium wood floor system including 3 full size basketball courts. Installation of a loose laid, sheet water
proofing applied over the concrete slab. Verifying that the existing slab meets 1/8” in 10’-0” for level and if
required fill low areas or grinding high points, and installing a new wood basketball flooring system. The
Recreation Center must remain open throughout the entire construction. The Contractor is required to provide
dust protection separating the gym area only while not interrupting access to the remaining Recreation
Proposals will be opened and publicly read at the above hour and date.

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on Thursday, February 7, 2019 beginning at 10:00 am, prevailing
local time, at the BSU Student Recreation Center, 1515 W. University Drive, Boise, ID. Bidders are
encouraged to attend.
One set of documents may be obtained by licensed general contractors and by licensed mechanical and
electrical subcontractors from the Architect for a refundable deposit of $100.00. Others may obtain
documents at cost, non-refundable.
A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, including any add alternates, is required. A Public
Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho is required to bid on this work.
