SECAUCUS HOUSING AUTHORITY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Owner: Secaucus Housing Authority Sealed bids for: Elevator Modernization for the Elms Building will be received by the Secaucus Housing Authority at the office of Mr. Christopher W. Marra, Executive Director, 700 County Avenue, Secaucus, NJ 07094 until 2:00 p.m. E.S.T. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Proposed forms of contract documents, including plans and specifications are available to be inspected and may be obtained at the Housing Authority offices, Telephone 201-867-2957, commencing on Friday, October 6, 2017 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All technical questions, comments, and inquiries should be directed to Coppa Montalbano Architects (Attention: Mr. Dave Andriola) Telephone 973-890-8989 and Fax 973-890-8855. There is no cost to obtain a set of drawings and specifications and are available on compact disc only. A Pre-Bid Conference for all Bidders will be held at 777 Fifth Street, Seacacus NJ 07094 in the First Floor Recreation Room followed by a walk thru of the site on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of considering questions posed by Bidders. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that Bidders attend the Pre-Bid Conference for purposes of clarifying specific information concerning the Project work, hearing other Bidders' questions regarding various aspects of the Project and the answers thereto, and learning the manner of proper completion and submission of the Bid Documents to ensure a responsive Bid. A Bidder's failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference is at its own risk. Addendum if applicable will be issued on Thursday, October 12, 2017 The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. An appropriate Surety's Consent by a Surety Company qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey and on the approved list bidding itself to become surety for the full and faithful performance of the Contract in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract for the protection of all persons furnishing materials or labor for fulfilling the Contract is also required in all cases. Bid Bond, Consent of Surety must be obtained from Bid Bond/Surety Companies listed on the Federal Register "Department of Treasury" Circular 570. The register will be provided with the bid documents. All bids and security must be enclosed in a properly sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder and the title of the bid contained therein. Attention is particularly called to the provision for Equal Employment Opportunity and payment not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specification. The work to be performed is also subject to compliance with the Section 3 provision of the Housing & Urban Development Act of 1968.
