TOWNSHIP OF CEDAR GROVE ESSEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Township Clerk on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 525 Pompton Avenue. Cedar Grove, New Jersey, 07009, Conference Room and opened and read publicly for: CURBSIDE PICK-UP & DISPOSAL OF RECYCLING, MATERIALS FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF CEDAR GROVE Form of proposal, specifications and general instructions to bidders may be obtained from the Office of the Township Clerk, 525 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, New Jersey, 07009, during normal business hours. The bid proposal shall be submitted on the form of proposal furnished by the Township Clerk, properly filled out and executed. The bid proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope furnished by the bidder and directed to the Township Clerk of the Township of Cedar Grove and shall bear on the outside "Bid for Curbside Pick-Up & Disposal of Recycling Materials for Township of Cedar Grove " together with the name and address of the bidder. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. Such check or bid bond to be made payable to the Township of Cedar Grove, which shall act as a guarantee that should the bidder be awarded a contract he will enter into a contract with the Township of Cedar Grove and furnish the required Performance Bond. The Township Council of the Township of Cedar Grove reserves the right to select the contract items or combination of items which in its judgment best serves the public interest. Further, the Township Council of the Township of Cedar Grove shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids if in the interest of the Township it deems it advisable to do so, or to waive insubstantial irregularities in the Bid Proposal permitted by law. Bids may be held by the Municipality for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and other documents prior to the award of the contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq, and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and be registered with the State of New Jersey Department of Labor in accordance with N.J.SA.. 34:11-56.48 et seq.
