GRIFFIN CREEK, HOOVER, AND HOWARD ELEMENTARY SEISMIC REHABILITATION
Notice is hereby given that the Medford School District will be releasing a Request for Proposal utilizing a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) process for the Seismic Rehabilitation of the existing Griffin Creek, Hoover, and Howard Elementary Schools. Proposals will be accepted by the Medford School District at the Purchasing Office, located at 815 S. Oakdale Avenue, Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Rehabilitation costs for this project shall not exceed $1,100,784.00 for Griffin Creek Elementary,
$1,078,610.00 for Hoover Elementary and, $1,078,831.00 for Howard Elementary.
MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE
The Medford School District requires that all contractors attend our pre-proposal conference. This meeting will include a site walk to familiarization contractors with the buildings.

Proposals shall be in accordance with the specifications and other contract documents on file in Purchasing Department Office, phone 541.842.3780. All proposals shall be addressed to the attention of the Purchasing Coordinator, Medford School District 549C, 815 S Oakdale Avenue, Medford, Oregon. Proposals shall be placed in an envelope or box which is sealed and which clearly states the name of the bidder, the date of the proposal opening, and appropriate wording to indicate definitely the nature of the contents. Do not send proposals by FAX or EMAIL. Proposals submitted via FAX or EMAIL will not be accepted. The Medford School District is committed to providing equal opportunities to State of Oregon certified Minority, Disadvantaged and Women's Business Enterprises in contracting activities. (OAR 445-050- 0001 to 445-050-0090, State of Oregon). This contract is for public works subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (the Oregon Prevailing Wage Rate Law). The Medford School District reserves the right to cance
l this invitation or reject any and all proposals submitted or to waive any minor formalities of this call, if in the judgment of the School Board the best interest of the District would be served. No proposer may withdraw his/her proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.
The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders and (3) to reject for good cause any or all proposals that are not in the best interest of the district (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive any formalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest.
