The Town of Lyons (Town) is requesting proposals for redevelopment of a prime location recently annexed to the Town. The property consists of multiple parcels currently occupied by one of Longmont's former water treatment plants, located both north and south of the Colorado State Highway 66 (Ute Highway) in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado east of the Town of Lyons (just east of the intersection of State Highway 66 & US Highway 36).
The site is owned by Lyons, and is currently zoned A-1 Agricultural District. The Town anticipates redevelopment of the site will serve as a major catalyst for investment. The Town seeks development that would complement existing businesses, maintain the small-town character, and assist with meeting its affordable housing goals.
