Re-Formatting and Incorporating Minor Updates to Master Plan City of Highland Park

Highland Park, IL

The City of Highland Park, Illinois requests proposals from qualified firms to provide services consisting of reformatting the City of Highland Park's Master Plan and incorporating into the Master Plan changes in land use and zoning that have occurred since the Master Plan was drafted in 1997.

The Master Plan is intended to serve as a guiding document for policy discussions related to many facets of local planning, including land use, zoning, housing, and greenways. While adopted in 1997, the City's current version of the Master Plan was created in 1999-2001 when desktop publishing was less refined. The MS Word-based Master Plan document has an outdated appearance and would benefit from professional reformatting. In addition, it has not been updated to reflect key City initiatives, including a Central District planning project, zoning changes, and economic development plans.

The purpose of this RFP is to update the Master Plan and transform it into a living, more user-friendly document that reflects the City's ongoing initiatives in planning and economic development.

Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 PM, October 20, 2017. The deadline for submitting questions is Monday, October 9, 2017 and questions and answers will be posted no later than Friday, October 13, 2017. A detailed full-length version of the RFP may be obtained at

All questions regarding the RFP shall be directed in writing to Andy Cross at .
