It is the intent of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to solicit proposals to provide consultative services for the Math Innovation Zones in accordance with all requirements stated herein. TEA is currently soliciting proposals for one or all of the following services: Advisory Services, Capital Raise, and Evaluation Services. The Math Innovation Zones initiative is based on the concept of implementing blended learning models in mathematics. Many instances of strong results have occurred from school districts using blended learning technology to increase math achievement. Math Innovation Zones seek to replicate this success. As a part of Math Innovation Zones, districts will be allowed to scale Math Innovation Zones with a pay for success program outlined in SB 1318. The consultant selected for this project will have deep experience with pay for success programs including advisory, design, capital raise, rate card creation, economic modeling, and ongoing operations management. The consultant will also have experience with evaluation or the contracting of third party evaluators to measure success. Eligible Proposers are nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, private companies, and individuals.
