Water Storage Tank Replacement
Description:

Sealed bids for Water Storage Tank Replacement at Olana State Historic Site will be received by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Taconic Region at Administrative Headquarters, Taconic Regional Office, 9 Old Post Road, Staatsburg, NY 12580. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check or bid bond in the amount of:

General Construction Contract D005746 $21,750.00 (twenty-one thousand seven hundred fifty dollars)

Electrical Contract D005747 $7,500.00 (seven thousand five hundred dollars)

Work includes demolition of the existing water storage tank. Construction of 53,000 gallon glass-fused-to-steel insulated water storage tank. Above and below ground water pipes and electrical power wiring installation. Wired and wireless control systems installation.

The Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge and obtained in person or by mail from NYS OPRHP at 9 Old Post Road, PO Box 308, Staatsburg, NY 12580 for a non-refundable fee of $49.00 (per set) plus shipping and handling as applicable. Make checks payable to NYS OPRHP.

Please note that contacting any other agency staff regarding this contract may be a violation of State Finance Law, Section 139j, resulting in a determination of contractor non-responsibility.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract.

Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Table in Article 14 of General Conditions).

There will be a pre-bid meeting on September 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Olana State Historic Site. Bidders must notify contacts with OPRHP at least 24 hours in advance of their intention to attend pre-bid meeting. Covid 19 protective measures shall apply and all attendees must wear a face covering.
