Long Island City Yard restoration & resiliency construction package 3a

This scope contains the following: a) General Site Work inclusive of temporary fencing, steel sheeting, soil remediation, drainage, dewatering, track work for Tracks 9 and 10, asphalt and concrete work; b) Mechanical and Electrical Work inclusive of a rinse water system, FRE conduit and manholes. furnish and installing new light poles, fuel trench and piping, fuel interlock for Tracks 7 and 8, furnishing of DC Positive Bus Enclosures and DC Sectionalizing Switches, and c) two options ? one for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Passenger Platform and one for the restoration of Tracts 11 and 12.


A Bidders conference and site tour are scheduled for October 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at the LIRR Long Island City Yard. All attendees must complete a Site Tour Release Form and transmit to the Contract Administrator prior to the site tour no later than October 6, 2017 at amartin@lirr.org . Safety Attire (boots, hard hats and vests) is mandatory for all attendees.

Bids (including all required Schedules) must be submitted on the forms provided by the LIRR. Copies of contract documents may be obtained from the Contract Administrator, at the LIRR Contracts, Planning & Construction Section ? Procurement & Logistics Department, The Long Island Railroad Company, 144-41 94th Avenue (3rd Floor), Jamaica, NY, 11435. A non-refundable payment of $350 by bank check, certified check, or money order payable to the Long Island Railroad Company is required for each set of Contract Documents.
