The Town of Needham requests qualifications for a Building Commissioning Consultant to oversee multiple, town-wide buildings of new, proposed and existing construction. The scope of services includes document peer review, inspection of mechanical systems during construction, and commissioning services, including envelope analysis. The nature of the work agreement will be on-call, per project as assignments under a master contract covering the duration of three years, to be negotiated at time of contract agreement, pending future project funding.
A Briefing Session will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 2PM, located at 500 Dedham Ave, Needham, MA in the Charles River Room / Floor 1. Selected Interviews of a short list of candidates, if required, will be conducted by the Town of Needham Permanent Public Building Committee (PPBC) and are tentatively scheduled to take place on Friday, October 27, 2017.
Qualifications must be returned to the Department of Public Facilities c/o Kathryn Copley, 500 Dedham Avenue, Needham, MA 02492 by 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

The Consultant fee for the identified services including all reimbursable expenses will be negotiated per assignment, based on established hourly rates and defined scoped of work. The total fee of the master contract will not exceed $200,000.00. The total amount of work based on assignments is not assured and the exact number of assignments is to be determined. The Town of Needham reserves the right to reject any or all qualifications and to accept any proposal that it considers to be in the best interests of the Town.
