Question and Answers
Q.1. If you want to apply for two strategies do you need to submit two proposals?
A: Yes
Q.2. If there is a program your agency wants to start a program, can these funds be used to
start a new program?
A: Yes, as long as your organization has been established for at least 1 year, has
demonstrated success in your other programming/services, and has a detailed proposal on
how you would implement and monitor the new program/services.
Q.3. Can a virtual program apply for funding if it serves residents of Alamance County, even
if the home office is based out of the county?
A: Yes, the organization would be eligible to apply and be held accountable to the same
reporting requirements as other organizations. The funding would only be applicable in
cases where the individual being served is an Alamance County resident. Supporting
documentation will be required. The provider will need to clearly identify services provided
to Alamance County residents vs. residents of other counties in their proposal and through
monthly and/or quarterly reporting.
Q.4. Will the PowerPoint be available?
A: Yes, today's recording and PowerPoint will be available on the Alamance County

Q.5. Regarding eligibility, are for-profit OTPs allowed to apply?
A: For-profit OTPs are eligible to apply. Please note that you will need to describe in your
application how you will utilize funding to serve only the citizens of Alamance County.
Q.6. We are submitting proposals for 4 different strategies. Should we complete one grant
application with 4 different sections under "Program Description and Program
Sustainability", or four different grant applications with each one targeted at a different
strategy?
A: A separate proposal should be submitted for each strategy. The following sections should
be specific to each individual strategy: Proposal Summary, Project Description and Program
Sustainability, and Performance Measures and Evaluation.
Q.7. Would the grant allow for an agency to open a recovery home / transitional housing, to combat
the housing crisis for those who are diagnosis with OUD?
A. The Exhibit A to the NC MOA under strategy 4: Recovery housing support states fund
programs offering recovery housing support to people in treatment or recovery, or people who
use drugs, such as assistance with rent, move-in deposits, or utilities; or fund recovery housing
programs that provide housing to individuals receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid
use disorder.Please see section 2.5.4 of the Alamance County High Impact Opioid Abatement
Strategies RFA #1 Opioid Settlement, for detailed information regarding unallowable costs.
Q.8. Does each strategy have-to-have individual staff or can the same staff be able to work
within different strategies? For example, can the program manager, manage all programs or the
clinical director supervise all staff even though the staff may be working in a different strategy.
A: Unique staff is not required for each strategy, if funding is awarded for multiple strategies
such as the examples referenced in the question.
