Vehicle Key Management System

Charlotte Water, a department of the City of Charlotte, is seeking to purchase and have installed secured-access electronic key management systems to safely store fleet vehicle keys for the department. In addition to the key boxes, the system should also include any other hardware required to securely mount the key boxes to a variety of wall surfaces and any other hardware to ensure compatibility with CLTW’s access control system(s), up to but not including badge readers themselves. Software is not required unless as a required base component for key box operability and monitoring—the software will NOT be used to manage key box or key ring access other than to integrate with CLTW access control systems.

Modification:
The City is including the Technology Standards
outlined as Exhibit A. All Proposals must address the
requirements and preferences included in Exhibit A.

hardware, and whether it be cloud based or onsite.
These standards will be included as part of the final
Contract Terms and Conditions to the selected
company.
Modification:
While the City is flexible to certain elements on
compatibility for the software, a preference for the
computerized key software is for compability with
Genetec. Companies must indicate if their proposed
solution or product support Genetiv and if so, provide
a detailed description of how is compatible to the
Genetec

than 2:00 pm EST on August 20, 2020.

Each Company is solely responsible for the timely
delivery of their proposals and revisions to
proposals. Companies accept all risks of late
delivery regardless of fault. In addition, Companies

accept all risks if file is corrupted, incorrect,
incomplete, or not attached. Any proposals or
revisions to a proposal received after the date and
time specified, regardless of the mode of delivery,
shall not be considered. The Procurement Officer
will confirm receipt of RFPs to all Companies via
email within 24 hours of the RFP deadline.
In order to constitute a complete proposal response you must acknowledge receipt of this addendum with the Addenda
Receipt Confirmation Form in Section 6 of the RFP in your Proposal. Any Company not acknowledging receipt of an
issued addendum may not be considered.
In the event additional changes or clarifications to this RFP are warranted, all Companies are responsible for monitoring the
City’s Contract Opportunities site for additional addenda.

TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT CHECKLIST
All Proposals that include a technology component must address the following requirements and preferences, whether the
technology component be software or hardware, and whether it be cloud based or onsite. Each reference to the
“Technology Provider” refers to the Proposer.
1. City Hardware / Software Requirements
Compatibility and standardization are key concerns in City technology procurements. This is important to optimize
interoperability and achieve better overall performance, and to reduce the costs of maintenance, inventory, training and
administration. To that end, the City has established certain standards and preferences regarding implementation of
