This RFI is from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Digital Capabilities Directorate (DCD) located at Building 676, 2435 5th Street, WPAFB, Ohio 45433.
1.0 Background
The AFRL Digital Capabilities Directorate stood up in February 2023 with a mission to “Measurably accelerate the generation and transition of adoption-ready technology with demonstrable military benefit”. Over-arching goals on behalf of the AFRL include:
- Faster Research: accelerate research, experimentation, and innovation
- Better Decisions: data/informatics, visualization, and support for analytically rigorous technical, business, and operations decisions
- Streamline Transitions: smooth entry for concepts, experiments, and demonstrations, seamless transfer of research products to acquisition/development agencies
- Reduce Toil: flexible and responsive business and operations
- Delivery of Digital and IT solutions
