Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE



This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The VA New Mexico Healthcare System located at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, 1501 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, has a requirement to upgrade Building 80 to meet the current needs for physical therapy and hospice patients. Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. Tasks include, but are not limited to the reconfiguration of existing Great Room and Bathing Suite to modify usages; addition of large-scale permanent oxygen tank to meet the current patient needs and the modification of the existing Oxygen Storage room to manage the additional supply; finalization of installation of ‘Wanderguard’ and ‘Get-Well’ systems to activate their usage within the facility; modification of existing trash enclosure to accommodate new oxygen tank and design of new (relocated) trash enclosure; modification of existing curb to accommodate oxygen delivery truck radius; new parking spaces and restriping of the existing parking lot for Building 18; and to complete the landscaping and irrigation from the original design that was not installed. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings (when available) of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes.



This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and must be listed in the SBA certification database on the SBA Veterans Small Business Certification Program (VetCert) portal at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $45.0M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about May 2, 2024 via Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
