The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre- Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The VA Butler Healthcare System Warehouse, C/O Fire Dept.325 New Castle Road Butler, PA 16001 has a brand name only requirement for new Structural Firefighting Turn Out Gear Structural Turnout gear includes both a Jacket and Pants. Fire fighters turn out gear has a lifespan of 10 years as set forth by the codes and standards under the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971, which protects firefighting personnel by establishing minimum levels of protection from thermal, physical, environmental, and bloodborne pathogen hazards encountered during structural and proximity firefighting operations.
