The contractor shall be responsible for manufacturing, transporting, and installing modular housing units. The contractor shall provide ATTHUs in compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Key factors to keep in mind during the design and construction of the ATTHUs is to ensure the units are easy to connect to local utilities and use standard components for ease of maintenance. The ATTHUs shall be delivered to and installed at a location that FEMA is building on the island of Maui (county of Maui). The Contractor shall adhere to the International Code Council/Modular Building Institute (ICC/MBI) 1200-2021. The code addresses the facets of off-site construction process including: planning; designing; fabricating; transporting; and assembling commercial and residential building elements. ICC/MBI 1205-2021 addresses the inspection, approval and regulatory compliance of off-site residential and commercial construction components and their assembly and completion at the final building site.
