Description
NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SINGLE SOURCE AWARD - Follow-up posting of solicitation.
The USDA Forest Service intends to solicit a quotation on a single source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) from Cranmer Engineering, Inc. for water testing lab services. Cranmer Engineering, Inc. is the only source reasonably available under the circumstances because of the lab certification and location requirements. IAW FAR 5.207(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the Contracting Officer.

The Yuba River Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest has 12 potable drinking water wells required to comply with both the Safe Drinking Water Act (Federal direction enforced by California/County) and Forest Service Directives when campgrounds are open to the public between April-October of each year.
Annual Nitrate and nitrite Sampling for all systems.
Monthly Routine Coliform Sampling for all seasonal systems.
Follow Up/Corrective Action Coliform Sampling, as needed.
Lab must be certified in California to test drinking water for Coliform and Nitrate/Nitrite testing and must produce reporting transmission and documentation consistent with California requirements.
Lab must have a water sample drop-off location within one hour of the Yuba River Ranger Station in Camptonville CA to ensure that sampling and re-sampling can be conducted within the agency's current staffing capacity.
