This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes.
The Department of Veterans Affairs East Orange VAMC intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Sole-Source action to:

The purpose of this contract is to provide one ROCHE Benchmark ULTRA PLUS Immunohistochemical Stainer, one ROCHE Ventana Benchmark ULTRA PLUS Stainer to VA Medical center East Orange, New Jersey, 07018. The above items are necessary to produce quality-stained slides which are evaluated by pathologists and aid in making patient diagnosis. This is an immediate need for the Histology section of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service.
This notice of intent to sole source with justification satisfies the public posting requirements of FAR 13.501.
This notice is not a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
