This is a pre-solicitation notice.

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) National Sedimentation Lab located in Oxford, MS, has a requirement to install pony walls, electrical outlets, and requisite plumbing hookups for laboratory gas, air, and vacuum, as designated in this Statement of Work (SOW), in Lab Rooms 116, 118, 120, 122, at Building 1, ARS National Sedimentation Laboratory at 598 McElroy Drive, Oxford, MS 38655, to serve as backboard for laboratory casework to be installed in a subsequent project. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and professional services necessary to install Pony walls, outlets, and fixtures which are to be assembled and installed per the drawings contained in this Statement of Work to produce a finished and useable product. The contractor shall provide a detailed technical proposal and cost breakdown for the entire project.

USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions.

This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about February 22, 2024. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
