Brew Storm Café will open at 7:30am to purchase beverages/pastries/snacks prior to the event (optional).

EVENT DESCRIPTION: The focus of the event is Getting Your Business Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Ready. At a minimum, attendees will hear from representatives from four different Scott AFB Contracting Office Small Business Professionals, Illinois APEX Accelerator, Small Business Administration and several Small & Large Businesses panel members with prior Government contracting experience. In the afternoon, experts will provide critical Cyber Security and Facility Clearance training (see attached draft agenda for details). All training and resources are available at no cost thanks to our cooperative agreement partners. The Illinois APEX Accelerator at Western Illinois University is provided through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense (DoD). Program support is made possible by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and Western Illinois University (WIU). This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract shall be awarded from this notice.

REGISTRATION IS FREE BUT REQUIRED:

A maximum of 100 attendees can participate with no more than two participants per company. Participation will be on a first come first serve basis until we reach 100 attendees.

All attendees are encouraged to utilize the BREW STORM CAFÉ (located on the second floor of the SWIC event building) from 7:30 – 2:00 CST. Hot & Cold Beverages, Pastries, Sandwiches, Soup, Salad, Parfaits, Fruit Cups, Chips, and other snacks will be available. Conference rooms will be available to network during lunch and other breaks throughout the event.
