Description

The Architect/Engineer (A/E) shall provide installation design service to furnish: Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Period Services, Site Visits, Cost Estimates, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information for Project 553-24-201, Replace Instantaneous Hot Water Heaters 1 through 6 in the Lower-Level Room 215, near the current water heaters, at the DVAMC. This project will investigate/size, evaluate/calculate, and provide the necessary documentation to support the redesign and new work for the installation of six new steam-fired water heaters, six flow meters, new electrical and low voltage components with connections for monitoring on the BMS, and all new structures and pads, if needed, for mounting the new equipment and changes to all other utilities that are affected in the area. This will include modifying for all new cold, steam, hot water piping, insulation and jackets, and all associated components or accessories such as pumps, gauges, valves, regulators, strainers, and traps at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan.
