THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR AN UPCOMING PROJECT THAT WILL INCORPORATE THE FOLLOWING BRAND NAME REQUIREMENT:
The Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria, UFC 4-211-01 Aircraft Maintenance Hangars, change 3, April 20, 2021, requires the use of the following brand name products: Eagle Quantum Premier (EQP) Controller EQ3XXX and Multi-spectrum IR Flame Detector X3301 manufactured by DET-TRONICS.
Per paragraph 3-6.19-11.1, Optical Flame Detectors (OFD) requires triple infrared (IR) optical flame detectors to be “listed/approved for expected fuel hazards in hangar bay” and must be “immune to radar and radio frequency emissions from handheld equipment or equipment on-board the aircraft.”
Failure to incorporate the Det-Tronics Corporation’s Models Eagle Quantum Premier Controller EQ3XXX and Multispectrum IR Flame Detectors X3301 into the project will result in use of a system that could cause false alarms and accidental discharge of the fire suppression system within the aircraft hangar.
THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these name brand, sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of an upcoming project.
Vendors/manufacturers who offer the above items which can meet all of the attached functional criteria are requested to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:
(1) Identification of the manufacturer's name, address, and country of product manufacturer.
(2) Fully detailed specification sheets.
(3) Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed in the attached.
