This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items and was prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Part 13.5, and supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The RFQ is N0018924Q0417. The solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2024-03 and DFARS Publication Notice 20220326.

NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Department Philadelphia Office located at 700 Robbins Ave Building 2B Philadelphia PA hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the instant procurement on a sole source basis to VEX Robotics, of Greenville, TX pursuant to the procedures of FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.5. The sole source nature of this requirement is based on the determination that VEX Robotics is the only vendor that can provide participation in the 2024 VEX Robotics World Championship event.

The event will take place on 25 April 2024 - 03 May 2024 and include services to support the US Navy Recruiting opportunities and outreach venues to reach the VEX robotics fields in college and precollege students and professionals (See attached SOW).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
