Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NCO22, is seeking sources for vendors to purchase a Blood Gas Analyzer for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. The anticipated award date shall be 4/15/24.
If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hubzone firm? Small businesses considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside procedure must do so in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Small Business Act. SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES: SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
General Objectives and Requirements:
For use in analyzing whole blood for Cardiology and Respiratory Therapy patients.
Purpose This instrument is used in the cardiac catheterization lab for real time/immediate blood gas analysis during cardiac procedures. These results need to be transmitted to the patients electronic medical record. A second unit will be utilized in the respiratory department for critical care use in managing ventilated patients where immediate results are required. 2 identical units will provide a redundancy in case a unit becomes non-functional and requires service.
The ABL90 FLEX PLUS or equal, a portable, automated analyzer which measures in whole blood:
pH
Blood Gases
Electrolytes
Glucose
Lactate
Bilirubin
Creatinine
Urea/BUN
Oximetry
The ABL90 FLEX PLUS or equal intended for use by trained technologists, nurses, physicians and therapists.
It is intended for use in a laboratory environment, near patient or point-of-care setting.
The ABL90 FLEX PLUS or equal must be able to be connected to the RADIANCE system.
The RADIANCE system enables communication between the RADIANCE server and the ABL90 FLEX PLUS or equal to allow remote data entry and analyzer access.
These tests are only performed under a physician's order. In the table below the measured parameters are shown:
