Description

The purpose of this requirement is to schedule a service visit with Bruker AXS to diagnose and repair the D4 Endeavor XRD system located in the silica lab at the PSHTC. This laboratory is responsible for measuring the amount of respirable crystalline silica present in the air in metal-nonmetal (MNM) mines. This task is an integral part of MSHA Health Enforcement function. Approximately 3,000+ sample and quality assurance analyses are performed each year on MNM mine dust samples by the PSHTC Lab.
