The qualified Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision necessary to pump out and dispose of approximately 3,000 gallons diesel fuel from all the abandoned underground fuel tanks at the Salem VA Medical Center. Contact will adhere to all federal and state laws to effectively pump and dispose of fuel using the proper safety protocols to insure there is zero amount of fuel spilled during the collection process. If the event of a fuel spill contractor will be responsible for properly removing any contaminated soil, follow all federal and state regulations.
Project shall be coordinated with the Salem VA Medical Centers assigned Contracting Officers Representative and the services shall not interfere with normal hospital operations. The work shall be completed within 15 days from starting the project provided that there are not any unforeseen complications or inclement weather that prevents the Contractor from pumping and disposing of the fuel. Work can be completed after normal work hours from 4:30 p.m. through 7:45 a.m. and on weekends and holidays. If the Contractor chooses to pump and dispose fuel after normal work hours, then the vender shall provide all temporary lighting resources as needed.
The abandoned underground fuel tanks are at the Salem VA Medical Center located at 1970 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, VA 24153-6404.
A request for Quote (RFQ) 36C24624Q00605 will be issued on or about April 23, 2024. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. The period of performance is May 1, 2024, through July 1, 2024. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the offer submission process. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award; contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov. The applicable NAICS Code is 562211 Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal Size Standard of $47 million. The solicitation issued will be unrestricted. All offerors are responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website without further notification from the Contracting Officer.
