This requirement is for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety uniforms for Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) / Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) / Federal Facilities Division (FFD) and WHS / Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC). The contractor will provide both protective and safety equipment and uniforms to for current and new employees. Current employees will require replacement equipment and uniforms and new employees will require new equipment and uniforms (see Appendix A for Safety Equipment List). The National Fire Protection Act (NFPA) 70E Standards for Electrical Safety in the Work Place outline the requirements for employees to use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The equipment must protect the employees to NFPA 70E standard PPE category 2 (minimum ARC rating of 8 cal/cm2) including all accessories (patches, name tapes, Velcro strips, shirts and jackets must contain ARC flash (flame resistant) material) or PPE category 4 (minimum ARC rating of 40 cal/cm2) for the identified category 4 items.
