Description

The Air Force intends to solict the following supply:



1. The 76 AMXG is requesting utilization of funds for Twenty (20) paint guns Qty Sixteen (16) electrostatic paint gun carts.

2. The requested equipment item descriptions/specifications are outlined below.

• The request for Twenty (20) Graco H85T10 Pro Xp85 high pressure Electrostatic Spray Guns and Sixteen (16) Paint gun carts with the matching brand name guns in the cart system for a total of

thirty-six (36) guns.

• Each electrostatic paint gun cart system shall be mounted on a portable cart, have a paint mixing pot with pneumatic agitator, a pneumatic fluid pump, 100ft fluid and air hoses, and an 85K

electrostatic paint gun.

• Each system shall have a Graco H85T10 Pro Xp85 high pressure Electrostatic Spray Gun rated for 85kV with internal power supply. Spray gun shall have 613 tips.

• Minimum 9.9-gallon steel paint pot tank assembly. Paint tank assembly shall include a lid to hold the pneumatic paint agitator/mixer with regulator control system and a fluid pick up tube. Paint pot shall be compatible with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) 10-gallon disposable pot liners. Pickup tube shall be routed to prevent rubbing on tires.

• System shall be designed for a 100-psi working pressure with one central pneumatic connection. Connection shall be a 3/8” inch male industrial interchange quick coupler. Airline will split to supply air to the fluid agitator/paint gun and fluid pump with individual pressure regulators for each. The fluid agitator shall use a quick disconnect to attach to the airline and have a valve to

adjust speed.

• Minimum 99ft length grounded electrostatic air hose assembly with ¼ ID swivel connections.

• Minimum 99ft length High Pressure, nylon lined Fluid Hose assembly with ¼ ID swivel connections.

• The system shall have a 3ft to 6 ft whip between the air/fluid hoses and the paint gun. The paint gun shall connect to the airline via quick disconnect. The fluid line will have an isolation valve between the fluid line and the whip.

• System shall be mounted on a corrosion resistant or painted cart. Cart shall have 4 wheels. Tires shall be no flat wheels. Back tires shall be non-swivel and at least 14 in dimeter. Front tires shall be swivel with brakes and at least 5” diameter. Cart shall have a handle for pushing, hooks for hanging the coiled hoses for transport, and handles for lifting the cart.

• Cart System shall be no more than 34” wide, 44” long, and 54” tall.

• Cart system will have a grounding system with a 50ft wire and clamp.

• Fluid Pump shall be a Graco President 30:1 with the following characteristics: have a maximum fluid working pressure of 3000 psi or greater, minimum air operating pressure of 40 psi, maximum air operating pressure of 100 psi, and a maximum flow of 1 gallon at 60 cycles/min.

• All pump wetted fluid system parts shall be either carbon steel, 304/316/420/17–4 pH stainless steel, chrome, chrome and zinc plating, tungsten carbide, or PTFE as needed for chemical and wear resistance. System will be used to spray MIL-PRF-23377 epoxy primers and MIL-PRF-85285 polyurethane topcoats. All parts shall be compatible with the coatings and rated for the appropriate pressures.

• Pump shall have a 100-mesh carbon steel, PTFE, 304/316 stainless steel, polyethylene fluid filter rated for 5,000 psi. Filter shall have a valve for relieving pressure. Filter housing shall be located to allow room for a 1-gallon bucket to fit below the housing.

• Paint gun system will be used in hazardous environments and shall be FM rated for Class I Division I environments or be intrinsically safe.

• Contractor shall furnish an electronic version of the Operational and Maintenance manuals in addition to a minimum of three (3) hardcopies. The manual shall recommend instructions on preventative and remedial maintenance.

• The contractor shall provide on-site training/demonstration of operation and maintenance of the equipment. The training may involve up to 60 personnel over three (3) shifts.
