Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for AA17 5.56mm MK 255 Mod1 Reduced Ricochet Limited Penetration Ammunition.

The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source Black Hills Ammunition Inc., 1699 Sedivy Lane, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR subpart 13.5. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
