Description

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to identify sources capable of supporting a Firm Fixed Price contract to lease five electric powered Low Pressure Air Compressor (LPAC) systems, one (1) 100HP, one (1) 200HP, and three (3) 400HP electric powered Low Pressure Air Compressor (LPAC) systems. The applications are for establishing a Breathing Air system, Tooling air system and Blast air system. The compressed air system will have a dedicated compressor with controls, pressure regulator, storage tank, air dryer, distribution manifold, and compressed air hoses. The minimum allowable requirements for the system is detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW) below. The compressor plant shall be designed for outdoor use and will be subjected to inclement weather year round. The vendor shall be responsible for supplying all fittings and adaptors required to make all equipment, manifold, & hose connections. The Breathing Air Compressor shall be equipped with remote E-Stop switch (Remote Emergency Stop Switch). The application for the compressed air systems is located at Naval Base Point Loma- San Diego, CA.



This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
