The Chief of Naval Education and Training (NETC) requires contractor services to support the Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation (NIFE) program training for students from Naval Aviation Schools Command. The purpose of the NIFE program is to ensure that all Student Naval Aviator (SNA), Student Air Vehicle Pilot (SAVP), Student Naval Flight Officer (SNFO) candidates receive flight instruction per the NASCINST 1542.1 Series Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation Master Curriculum. The Contractor shall provide certified flight instructors (CFIs), as well as sufficient identically configured aircraft (Cessna-172N/P, Lycoming 180HP engine) and spare aircraft to ensure that there is always enough aircraft available for each successive wave at all home airfields (Pensacola, FL and Gulf Shores, AL). The contractor shall also provide the necessary training aids (to include Flight Simulators), supervision, materials, maintenance, publications, equipment, and services necessary to perform flight screening, military instructor training and other services necessary to perform flight training and screening as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS).
